F i Catherine (Katie) CUNNANE was born about 1886.

Patrick (Pat) KEARNEY [Parents] was born about 31 Jan 1851 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was christened on 2 Feb 1851 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died on 23 Apr 1917 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. Patrick married Margaret (Maggie) BUCKLEY on 7 Feb 1880 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Pat's baptismal sponsors were Brian Cunningham and Honora Doody.

Pat inherited the family farm in Kilbaha. In the 1911 census he and his wife, Maggie, are listed with six of their children: Mary, John, Johanna, Myles, Bridget and Laurence. According to their census return Pat and Maggie had 16 children born alive, 13 of whom were alive in 1911.

Pat died of pneumonia aged 66.

Ellen (Ellie) KEARNEY was born in 1880 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

It is possible that Ellie emigrated to the United States as an Ellen Kearney from Newtownsandes arrived at Ellis Island in June 1903. She was 23 years old, which ties in with the age our Ellie would have been at the time. Furthermore, a World War I draft registration record from 1918 for a Myles Kearney, Irish-born and living in Jersey City, gives the name of a sister named Ellie Kearney of Jersey City as Myles's nearest relative. This ties in with the fact that our Ellie had a brother named Myles who emigrated to the United States in 1915. However, we have no evidence that our Myles ever lived in Jersey City. All we know is that he married in Michigan in 1921 and lived in Michigan for the rest of his life.
F ii Mary Anne KEARNEY was born on 7 Aug 1881.
  F iii
Catherine (Katie) KEARNEY was born on 22 Apr 1883 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Danny's baptismal sponsors were Michael Kearney and Ellen Buckley.

A Daniel Kearney of Kilbaha, who married Hannah O'Carroll from Ballylongford, Co. Kerry in 1920, had four children: Patrick, Daniel, Eileen (who married a Michael Culhane of Ballyguiltenane, Glin, Co. Limerick and had a family), and Maurice Michael (known as Moss) who is believed to have been born around 1930. Hannah died 23 August 1951 in Kilbaha. Could this Daniel have been our Daniel above?

A Daniel Kearney died of cardiac failure in Kilbaha on 8 April 1946 aged 61. I think it likely that this was our Daniel. The informant on the death certificate was a son, Daniel, of Kilbaha.
