Joseph (Joe) SHEEHAN [Parents] was born 26 Nov 1912 in probably Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died 26 Feb 1996 in England. Joseph married Veda PARKER.

Joe lived in Epsom in Surrey.

Thomas (Tom) SHEEHAN [Parents] was born 29 Mar 1900 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry and was christened 30 Mar 1900 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died 17 Apr 1981 in Listowel, Co. Kerry and was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery, Gale Bridge, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. Thomas married Ellen (Nell) SHINE on 1928.

Sponsors at Tom's baptism were John Hudson and Hanora Hudson.

Tom was a member of the Old IRA. He later became a member of Kerry County Council, and was well known in the Moyvane area.

Ellen (Nell) SHINE [Parents] was born 1 Jul 1905 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry and was christened 6 Jul 1905 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died 16 Jul 1972 in Moyvane village, Co. Kerry and was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery, Gale Bridge, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. Ellen married Thomas (Tom) SHEEHAN on 1928.

It's a possibility that Nell may have been descended from the family of Shines of Cork origin who were coopers and who had settled in Kilbaha (time unknown). According to Dan Keane's piece on www.moyvane.com entitled Trades in Moyvane, two brothers and a sister came from Cork and settled in Kilbaha where they carried on a cooper business. Their initial residence was a farm later owned by direct descendant Bill Shine and later still by his son known as Connie Bill Shine (the farm was subsequently sold). Apparently the Shines of Dirreen and Athea, both in Co. Limerick, are also descended from the Shines who came to Kilbaha.

Thomas, who was known as "the Doc", lived in the Bronx, New York.
