Myles KEARNEY [Parents] was born about 2 Aug 1855 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry and was christened 4 Aug 1855 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He married Margaret (Maggie) CULHANE on 1900.

Sponsors at Myles's baptism were James Thornton and Mary Mulvihill.

I am assuming that Myles, above, was the Myles Kearney  who married Maggie Culhane and who had a daughter called Pidge whom we know to have been connected to our Cunningham family.

Myles was shopkeeper and publican in Moyvane village. He may also at some point have been a building contractor.

Margaret (Maggie) CULHANE [Parents] was born about 1870 in Askeaton, Co. Limerick. She married Myles KEARNEY on 1900.

According to the 1911 census, Maggie and Myles had been married 11 years and had six children born alive, five of whom were alive at the time of the census.

They had the following children:

James (Jimmy) KEARNEY was born 28 Jan 1907 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry and was christened 29 Jan 1907 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died before 5 Jan 1995.

Baptismal sponsors were Michael Culhane and Ann Culhane.

It's known Jimmy lived in the United States. There's a headstone in Ahavoher Cemetery in Moyvane on which a James Kearney of Chicago, who died on 23 March 1965, is named, along with Paddy Kearney, brother of Jimmy above. It's a possibility therefore that James of Chicago is Jimmy above.

  M vii Patrick (Paddy) Anthony KEARNEY was born 1913 and died 30 Jul 2005.

Patrick (Paddy) Anthony KEARNEY [Parents] was born 1913 in Main St., Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died 30 Jul 2005 in Chingford, London and was buried in London. Patrick married Eileen 'UNKNOWN'.

Paddy lived in London.

Catherine (Kate) O'CONNOR [Parents] was born in probably Gortdromagowna, Knockanure, Co. Kerry. She died before 2 Apr 1911. Catherine married James LEAHY.
