Mary Ann KEARNEY [Parents] was born 30 May 1902 in Newtownsandes (Moyvane) village, Co. Kerry and was christened 31 May 1902 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died after 18 Jul 1979 in probably New York. Mary married Daniel (Danny) O'GRADY.

Mary Ann emigrated to the United States and settled in New York. Ellis Island records show that she arrived in the U.S. 1923 aged (what looks like) 20. The printing on the ship manifest (on www.ellisisland.org) is terribly faint but she was joining an aunt in the Bronx (name and exact address illegible).

Kitty lived in New York.

Margaret (Peg) KEARNEY [Parents] was born 28 May 1908 in Newtownsandes (Moyvane) village, Co. Kerry and was christened 30 May 1908 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died after 18 Jul 1979 in probably New York. Margaret married Daniel (Dan) O'SULLIVAN.

Peg lived in New York.

Cornelius MULVIHILL [Parents] was born 1862 in Newtownsandes (Moyvane), Co. Kerry. He died after 1914. Cornelius married Mary HEALY about 1898.

Mary HEALY died about 1914. She married Cornelius MULVIHILL about 1898.

According to the 1911 census Cornelius and Mary had been married for 13 years and had 10 children born alive, all of whom were still alive at the time of the census. Although the household of Mary and Cornelius in the 1911 census shows they were living in the townland of Gortdromasillihy in Moyvane, I'm told by a number of sources that the family lived in Kilbaha, Moyvane and it appears the family itself regarded themselves as being from Kilbaha.   

Mary died in her late thirties when her youngest child was just an infant.

Philip, who was a police sergeant, lived in Cork.

Cornelius (Connie) MULVIHILL was born 1909 in Gortdromasillihy, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died 1973.

Connie lived in Kilbaha, Moyvane.

Ciss (Sr. Rita) MULVIHILL was born about 1913 in Gortdromasillihy, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died 26 Jun 1996 in Waterford and was buried in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Hennessy's Road, Waterford.

Ciss entered the convent, joining the Good Shepherd order. She lived in Waterford.
  M xii Maurice MULVIHILL was born about 1914 and died Sep 2007.
