Note from Helen: Although Daniel is not blood-related to me or my husband, I came across the information below in the course of my research into the family of my great-great-great-aunt Biddy Cunningham of Kilbaha, Moyvane who married Moyvane-born John Mulvihill in 1861. Although from the same parish, John does not appear to be related to Daniel but the information below on Daniel and his descendants may be useful to other Mulvihill researchers with an interest in Moyvane.

Catherine DILLANE was born about 1830. She died after 30 Mar 1901. Catherine married Daniel MULVIHILL.

Honora O'CONNOR (caution: not verified) [Parents] was born in possibly Dirreen Lower, Athea, Co. Limerick. She married Patrick RIORDAN.

From the irishgenealogy.ie website we know that a Hanora O'Connor from Kilbaha, whose father's name was Patrick, married a Patrick Riordan of Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick on 23 February 1878. It's possible Hanora was a daughter of our Patrick Connor so I have added her to the list of his children, along with a caution.

Jane HOGG [Parents] was born 1 May 1861 in Cootehall, Co. Roscommon and was christened 4 May 1861 in Cootehall, Co. Roscommon. She died 9 May 1891. Jane married 'unknown' DOHERTY.

Owen O'CONNOR (caution: not verified) [Parents] died date unknown. He married Mary O'DOWD.

It's probably more likely that Owen was a nephew rather than a son of James O'Connor.

Mary and Owen farmed in Kilcroy, Hillstreet, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon. They had no children and the house and farm were eventually purchased by Mary's nephew Martin James O'Dowd (who married a Mary Foxe), descendants of whom still live in the same house.

John J. SHANAHAN [Parents] was born about 1893 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died 7 Jan 1968 and was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery, Gale Bridge, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. John married Hanora (Hannah) HARRINGTON about 1938.

Hanora (Hannah) HARRINGTON [Parents] was born about 1900 in probably Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died 17 Apr 1992 and was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery, Gale Bridge, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. Hanora married John J. SHANAHAN about 1938.

Hannah and John lived in Kilbaha.

Note from Helen: I am not 100% sure that Hannah's parents were indeed James Harrington and Mary Kennelly of Kilbaha, but I am making the assumption that thery were, based on the fact that their daughter Hannah was born around the same time as John Shanahan's wife, Hannah Harrington, i.e., around 1900, and the fact that it seems that James and Mary's daughter was the only Hannah Harrington of approximately 10 years of age living in the Newtownsandes area at the time of the 1911 census.
