Michael (Mike) DOODY [Parents] was born about 4 Oct 1862 in Ardnamoher, Galbally, Co. Limerick and was christened 4 Oct 1862 in Galbally, Co. Limerick. He died 6 Oct 1929 in 10 Belgrave Place, Wellington Road, Cork and was buried in St. Finbarr's Cemetery, Cork. Michael married Mary Ann LEONARD about 1892 in possibly Kilworth, Co. Cork.

Sponsors at Mike's baptism were James Curtin and Mary Hennessy.

Mike worked in the saddlery business on Lavitts Quay in Cork where the family lived for a time. They later moved to 10 Belgrave Place, off Wellington Road in Cork.

Mary Ann LEONARD [Parents] was born about 18 Jan 1863 in probably Kilworth, Co. Cork and was christened 18 Jan 1863 in Kilworth, Co. Cork. She died 5 Apr 1945 in 10 Belgrave Place, Wellington Road, Cork and was buried in St. Finbarr's Cemetery, Cork. Mary married Michael (Mike) DOODY about 1892 in possibly Kilworth, Co. Cork.

According to the 1911 census, Mary Ann was a "hotel proprietress". The family was living on Lavitts Quay in Cork at the time. The census also tells us that Mary Ann and Mike had nine children born alive, only five of whom were still alive at the time of the census.

John DOODY was born 8 Sep 1900 in Cork city. He died 30 Mar 1970 in Kilbrittain, Co. Cork and was buried in St Patrick's Church Grounds, Kilbrittain, Co. Cork.

John studied for the priesthood in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, and was ordained there in 1925. At the time of his ordination he was assigned to the church of Ss. Peter & Paul in Cork city. At the time of his father's death in 1929 John was in Torquay in England, and at some point after that he served as a curate in the parish of Dunmanway, Co. Cork. John was then appointed parish priest at Ss. Peter & Paul where he served from October 15, 1950 until April 12, 1961 when he became parish priest in Schull, Co. Cork. He served in Schull until 1967 when he was appointed parish priest in Kilbrittain, Co. Cork. John ministered in Kilbrittain until his death in 1970.

Mary Christina (Girlie) DOODY was born 11 Nov 1904 in Cork city. She died 15 Sep 1974 in probably Cork and was buried in St. Finbarr's Cemetery, Cork.

Girlie never married. She lived in the family home on Belgrave Terrace in Cork.

Mary (Mai) STACK [Parents] was born 15 May 1923 in Moyvane South (Shronagraga), Co. Kerry. She died 14 Jan 2007. Mary married Denis MCCARTHY on 24 Jun 1955.

Mai ran St. Anthony's Nursing Home in Tralee, Co. Kerry.
