Michael LAYDEN.

Michael took over the running of the family coalmine.

A Miss Bridget Layden, daughter of the late Michael Layden of Spencer Harbour, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, died on 5 February 1940 at her residence at the Glencar Private Hotel in Dun Laoghaire. It's a possibility Bridget may have been a daughter of Michael above that we hadn't known of.

James LAYDEN was born about 1900. He died 14 Mar 1953 in Arigna, Co. Roscommon.

Henry (Harry) HOSTY [Parents] was born about 1879 in Tuam, Co. Galway. He died 3 Jun 1948 in Tuam, Co. Galway. Henry married Mary Josephine (Ivy) GORDON.

Harry was a doctor and for a number of years was Medical Officer in Abbeyknockmoy, Co. Galway and had a private practice in the Tuam area. When his children were still young, Harry and his family moved to Bootle, Liverpool where he set up a medical practice. Shortly before he died he returned to Tuam, and after his death, Ivy and the children settled in Dublin.

Mary Josephine (Ivy) GORDON [Parents] was born 1897 in Fairymount, Co. Roscommon. She died 1960 in poss Dublin. Mary married Henry (Harry) HOSTY.
