Tom owned a builders' providers store in Limerick.

Veronica (Vera, Ver) BYRNE was born in Kilrush, Co. Clare. She died 1981 in Clontarf, Dublin and was buried in Dublin. Veronica married Thomas (Tom) STACK about 1931 in Limerick.

Vera was a teacher in Limerick.

Patrick BROWNE was born 1830. He died 4 Dec 1909.

Richard (Dick) STACK [Parents] was born 19 Aug 1894 in Ballygoughlan, Glin, Co. Limerick. He died 12 Jul 1961 in NSW, Australia and was buried in Rockwood Cemetery, Sydney, Australia. Richard married Anne Veronica (Vera) MONAGHAN.

Dick was a marine radio officer for many years before settling in NSW, Australia.

Anne Veronica (Vera) MONAGHAN was born 27 May 1907 in Australia. She died 14 Feb 1998 in Australia. Anne married Richard (Dick) STACK.

Vera was from Lurline St., Katoomba, NSW.

James (Jim) THORNTON died before 31 Mar 1901. He married Honora (Norrie) CUNNINGHAM on 10 Feb 1844 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

There a James Thornton listed in Griffiths Valuation (1848-1864) who occupied land in Kilbaha Middle in the parish of Murher (Moyvane). This James is the only Thornton listed for the entire barony of Iraghticonnor, of which Murher is a part, which suggests that this James is our Jim above.    

Jim and Norrie may have had another daughter, named Catherine. A marriage record has been located for a Catherine Thornton of Kilbaha, daughter of James Thornton, who married Daniel Kennelly of Kilbaha, son of John Kennelly, on 17 February 1876. Witnesses were John Kennelly and Richard Hudson. Catherine and Daniel had a son, named John, who was baptised in Moyvane on 16 June 1877. Sponsors were John [illegible] and [illegible] Kennelly.

Honora (Norrie) CUNNINGHAM [Parents] was born about 1826 in Kilbaha, Newtownsandes (Moyvane), Co. Kerry. She died after 31 Mar 1901. Honora married James (Jim) THORNTON on 10 Feb 1844 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Witnesses were James Cunningham and James Connor.

Hanora (Nonie) THORNTON was born about 27 Jun 1859 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry and was christened 29 Jun 1859 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Sponsors at Hanora's baptism were Thomas Relihan and Mary Kearney. Her date of baptism doesn't tie in with her age as given in the 1911 census (44) but ages given in census returns are quite unreliable as people like to shave a few years off their real age or, as was common in days gone by, they genuinely didn't know their exact age as birthdays weren't celebrated as they are today.

Nonie lived in Kilbaha (possibly with her brother James as she is listed with him and his family in the 1911 census) and never married.

Daniel (Dan) LYONS [Parents] was born about 1875 in Derry, Listowel, Co. Kerry. He married Hanora (Nora) HUDSON on 4 Mar 1905 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

According to the 1911 census, Dan and Nora had been married six years and had five children born alive, four of whom were still alive at the time of the census.

Hanora (Nora) HUDSON [Parents] was born 3 Aug 1877 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died 20 Feb 1937. Hanora married Daniel (Dan) LYONS on 4 Mar 1905 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Dan was well known in the Derry area because he was a funeral director and the owner of a local Texaco service station.

Elizabeth CAREY died 8 Sep 1955 and was buried in St. Michael's Cemetery, Listowel, Co. Kerry. She married Daniel (Dan) LYONS about 1940.

James (Jim) ENRIGHT died possibly 24 Oct 1945. He married Margaret (Maggie) HUDSON on 1912.

Jim farmed in Clounleharde in Ballyhahill, Co. Limerick.

Margaret (Maggie) HUDSON [Parents] was born 13 Feb 1884 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry and was christened 16 Feb 1884 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died 26 Aug 1962. Margaret married James (Jim) ENRIGHT on 1912.

Sponsors at Maggie's baptism were John Ahern and Ellen [surname not recorded].

Maggie is not listed in the 1901 census return for her father's household. There is however a Margaret Hudson, aged 13, listed as a visitor in the household of a Thomas Sheehan of Kilbaha South (Maggie's older sister, Mary Anne, was married to a Thomas Sheehan in Kilbaha).
