Ordained in London in 1949, Joseph was a member of the Mill Hill Fathers order. He taught in St. Joseph's College, Freshford, Co. Kilkenny prior to being appointed in 1953 to serve in Malaysia where he spent 10 years in Kuching in Borneo. He subsequently ministered in Freshford, Glasgow, Dublin, Belfast and Edinburgh, retiring in 1999.

Mary Ann HUDSON [Parents] was born about 23 Oct 1878 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry and was christened 25 Oct 1878 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died after her husband. Mary married John DOODY on 12 Feb 1903 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Sponsors at Mary Ann's baptism were James Cunningham and Mary Cunningham.

It appears Mary Anne and he husband, John, didn't have any children because, in the early 1920s, Mary Ann gave over her farm at Coilagurteen, Moyvane to her sister Ellen Broderick who looked after her for the rest of her life.
