As the same time that her older sister, Mary, was crossing the Atlantic to return home from the United States, Cassie was on a ship headed for Boston. After about three years there she returned to Binion. According to the family, Cassie was about 70 years of age when she died.

James LYNCH [Parents] was born 19 May 1879 in Bunacrick, Binion, Clonmany, Co. Donegal and was christened 22 May 1879 in Clonmany. He died 10 Nov 1926 in Boston. James married Ellen MAHER on 2 Jun 1907 in Boston.

James emigrated to the United States and settled in Boston where he became a police officer. However he was fired along with all the other Boston police officers who went on strike in 1919. He subsequently took a job with the Boston Elevated Railway Company (for whom he worked at the time of his marriage) and became a construction foreman. While securing a worksite one evening, he was struck by a motor vehicle driven by someone who some family members believed intentionally hit him. He suffered severe injuries to his left arm and shoulder. Infection set in resulting in his death within days.
