Arthur Joseph DOYLE [Parents] was born 1927 in New Ross, Co. Wexford. He died 23 Nov 1991 in Hampshire, England and was buried in St. Stephen's Cemetery, New Ross, Co. Wexford. Arthur married Patricia (Pat) HALLINAN.

Patrick O'HARA [Parents] was born about 6 Dec 1857 in Cootehall, Co. Roscommon and was christened 6 Dec 1857. He died before 2 Apr 1911. Patrick married Mary Ann LELAND on 3 Feb 1879 in Cootehall, Co. Roscommon.

Sponsors at Patrick's baptism were Laurence O'Hara and Joanna O'Hara.

Patrick was a shopkeeper and publican. He died young leaving behind a wife and young family. His wife, Mary Ann, was a sister of the wife of his brother Joseph.

Mary Ann LELAND [Parents] died in Cootehall, Co. Roscommon. She married Patrick O'HARA on 3 Feb 1879 in Cootehall, Co. Roscommon.

According to a family source, Mary Anne and her husband, Patrick, had three daughters named Nan, Lizzie Kate and Catherine. However we're told by another family source that there were four daughters, Mary Jane, Lizzie Kate, Emily and Anne (whom we're assuming to be Nan).

After Patrick died Mary Ann took over the running of the shop, which became known as "Mary Ann's" while her father-in-law, William, helped in the raising of her children.

Note that Leland is sometimes spelled Leyland.

Patrick (Pa) O'HARA [Parents] was born 2 Apr 1859 in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh. He died 2 Dec 1951 in Skerries, Co. Dublin and was buried 4 Dec 1951 in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin. Patrick married Mary (Mud) O'HARA on 5 Apr 1885 in Cootehall, Co. Roscommon.

Pa joined the RIC (Royal Irish Constabulary) on 13 December 1876 and retired from the force on 14 August 1920. From his retirement parchment we know that Pa at age 61 years and five months was 5' 11" with grey hair and grey eyes. According to his marriage certificate, Pa was living in the townland of Derreenavoggy in Boyle, Co. Roscommon at the time of his marriage in 1885.  At the time of the 1911 census, Pa and his family were living in Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath.

Pa and Mud are believed to have been cousins. According to the 1911 census, Pa and Mud had 14 children born alive, only nine of whom were still alive at the time of the census. The family, who lived in Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath at the time of the 1911 census, eventually moved Skerries, Co. Dublin.

Mary (Mud) O'HARA [Parents] was born about 22 Jun 1863 in Cootehall, Co. Roscommon and was christened 22 Jun 1863. She died 18 Dec 1941 in Dublin and was buried in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin. Mary married Patrick (Pa) O'HARA on 5 Apr 1885 in Cootehall, Co. Roscommon.

Joseph O'HARA [Parents] was born 21 Dec 1865 in Cootehall, Co. Roscommon and was christened 28 Dec 1865 in Cootehall, Co. Roscommon. He married Elizabeth LELAND.

Sponsors at Joseph's baptism  were Roger O'Hara and Johanna O'Hara.

Joseph's wife, Elizabeth, was a sister of the wife of his brother Patrick.

Elizabeth LELAND [Parents] married Joseph O'HARA.

William O'HARA [Parents] was born about 1884. He married Florence (Dolly) WHITNEY.

William took over the running of his parents' shop and pub after the death of his mother. He died young.

Florence (Dolly) WHITNEY [Parents] was born in possibly Ballyfermoyle, Cootehall, Co. Roscommon. She died about 1985 in Australia. Florence married William O'HARA.

'unknown' KELLY was born in probably Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon/Leitrim. He died 1930s in Australia. 'unknown' married Florence (Dolly) WHITNEY.

Florence and her second husband emigrated with their family to Australia around 1930, but her husband died shortly afterwards.

Florence (Dolly) WHITNEY [Parents] was born in possibly Ballyfermoyle, Cootehall, Co. Roscommon. She died about 1985 in Australia. Florence married 'unknown' KELLY.

James WHITNEY married Mary Jane MOLLOY.

Mary Jane MOLLOY married James WHITNEY.

James and Mary eloped and it's thought they had 11 children. Both James and Mary died within days of each other, of natural causes, when their youngest children were still young. All their children emigrated to Australia.

Michael KELLY was born 7 Feb 1887 in Dunmore, Co. Galway. He died 1957 in Dublin. Michael married Maud O'HARA on 5 Apr 1921 in Westland Row, Dublin.

Michael sold insurance in the Mullingar area of Co. Westmeath.

Maud O'HARA [Parents] was born 10 Jun 1897 in Kilbeggan, Co. Westmeath. She died 17 Jun 1979 in Ratoath, Co. Meath. Maud married Michael KELLY on 5 Apr 1921 in Westland Row, Dublin.

Maud lived at 46 St. Pappin's Road, Glasnevin, Dublin.

Patrick O'HARA [Parents] was born about 16 Mar 1869 in Co. Roscommon and was christened 16 Mar 1869. He died 1951. Patrick married Mary Kate GLYNN about 1897.

Patrick was a farmer in the townland of Cloongreaghan in Cootehall.

Mary Kate GLYNN [Parents] was born about 1873 in Co. Roscommon. She died 1 Nov 1945. Mary married Patrick O'HARA about 1897.

Could Mary Kate have been somehow related to Jim Glynn from Cootehall who married her husband's second cousin, Evelyn Mary O'Hara, daughter of Laurence O'Hara and Bridget Gordon? We do know it wasn't Mary Kate's brother James ("The Master") who married Evelyn.

Denis MORAN married Catherine O'HARA.

Catherine O'HARA [Parents] was born about 9 Feb 1875 in Co. Roscommon and was christened 9 Feb 1875. She married Denis MORAN.
