Descendants of 'unknown' CUNNINGHAM (to contribute information, please email Helen@HelensFamilyTrees.com)

Fourth Generation

22. John CUNNINGHAM (Bryan , Myles , 'unknown' ) was born about 1851 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died on 1 Jan 1930 in Clogough, Glin, Co. Limerick.

The information below on John's family may be incorrect: I was given detailed information on John and his family by a very reliable family source but when I came across their details in the 1901 census, I saw that John's mother is listed as Margaret (rather than Johanna, who had died in 1897). Furthermore John's county of birth is given as Limerick in the census whereas our John was definitely born in Kerry. Therefore either the family listed below is not that of our John or errors were made in filling out the census form. Any assistance in establishing the correct names of John's family members would be much appreciated. If you can help, please email Helen@HelensFamilyTrees.com. Thank you. For now I have added cautions to the names of John's wife and children.

John died from a stroke.

John married Honora (Nora) CREGAN (caution: not verified), daughter of Denis CREGAN, on 27 Jan 1891 in Glin, Co. Limerick. Honora was born about 1859 in Co. Kerry. She died on 3 Jun 1941 in Glin, Co. Limerick.

John and Nora farmed in Clogough, Glin, Co. Limerick.

According to the 1911 census, John and Nora had been married for 20 years and had eight children born alive, seven of whom were alive at time of the census. All seven are listed. However, it appears that two children had died as we have evidence of nine children having been born to John and Nora. It looks like the two children who died before the 1911 census were the first John and Johanna).

They had the following children.

  109 M i
Bryan CUNNINGHAM (caution: not verified) was born on 2 Nov 1891 in Clogough, Glin, Co. Limerick. He died on 15 Apr 1939 in Clogough, Glin, Co. Limerick.

I was told Bryan emigrated to the United States. However, death registry records tells us Bryan died in Glin in 1939 of pneumonia aged 45 (he was in fact 47}. He was a farmer and was unmarried. As the eldest son, our Bryan above would have inherited the family farm so I think it unlikely he ever emigrated.
  110 M ii
John CUNNINGHAM (caution: not verified) was born on 3 Apr 1893 in Clogough, Glin, Co. Limerick. He died before 10 Feb 1899 in probably Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

John died as a child.
  111 F iii
Margaret CUNNINGHAM (caution: not verified) was born about 1893 in Clogough, Glin, Co. Limerick. She died on 2 Apr 1931 in Clogough, Glin, Co. Limerick.

I have been told Margaret emigrated to the United States. However, we know that Margaret died in Glin in 1931 of "probably heart disease" aged only 37. Perhaps she had indeed emigrated but had returned.
+ 112 M iv Denis CUNNINGHAM (caution: not verified) was born on 25 Jun 1894. He died in Jun 1987.
  113 M v
Richard CUNNINGHAM (caution: not verified) was born on 20 Dec 1895 in Clogough, Glin, Co. Limerick. He died in probably U.S..

Richard emigrated to the United States, arriving in New York on 3 April 1923. Acording to the ship manifest his contact in New York was his brother John who had emigrated three years earlier and who lived at 2437 8th Avenue.
  114 F vi
Johanna CUNNINGHAM (caution: not verified) was born on 7 Sep 1897 in Clogough, Glin, Co. Limerick. She died in probably bef 2 Apr 1911.

Johanna must have died as a child as, accordong to the 1911 census, her parents had eight children born alive, seven of whom were still alive at the time of the census; the list of seven children named in the census return does not include Johanna.
  115 F vii
John CUNNINGHAM (caution: not verified) was born on 10 Feb 1899 in Clogough, Glin, Co. Limerick. She died after 1998 in U.S..

John emigrated to the United States at the age of 21, arriving in New York on 11 June 1920. His contact in New York was a cousin, Denis Cregan, who lived in Long Island City. It appears John was the first of several siblings to emigrate to the U.S.
  116 F viii
Catherine (Cathy) CUNNINGHAM (caution: not verified) was born on 23 Jan 1901 in Clogough, Glin, Co. Limerick. She died on 8 Jan 1975 in Newcastle West, Co. Limerick. She was buried in Kilfergus Cemetery, Glin, Co. Limerick.

I am told Catherine was the only member of the family who did not emigrate, although it appears her eldest brother Bryan also did not emigrate. She lived in Clogough and never married.

  117 M ix
Patrick (Paddy) CUNNINGHAM (caution: not verified) was born on 1 Nov 1904 in Clogough, Glin, Co. Limerick. He died on 4 Jun 1972 in Glin, Co. Limerick. He was buried in Kilfergus Cemetery, Glin, Co. Limerick.

Paddy emigrated to the United States and retired to Glin where he died. He never married.

23. Richard (Richie Bryan) CUNNINGHAM (Bryan , Myles , 'unknown' ) was born about 2 Jun 1852 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was christened on 4 Jun 1852 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died on 24 Dec 1926.

The sponsor at Richie's baptism was Daniel Kearney.

Richie was also known as 'Richie Bryan'. He and his wife, Brigie, lived in Kilbaha.

The writer of a handwritten family tree on the 'Moyvane and District' page of Jer Kennelly's online album collection (see Links page on this website) tells us that "A son of this marriage [i.e., the marriage of Richie and Brigie], Myles or Sean Cunningham, settled in Killeedy, Co. Limerick and on 19th Jan. 1851 married Eliz. Dore of [what looks like] Darriry whose grandfather, Maurice Dower, had come down to Killeedy from Gortnagloss about the same time as James Dower moved to Newtownsandes. Maurice and James may have been brothers". However, because Richie and Brigie married in 1892, no son of that marriage could have married in 1851 and because Elizabeth Dore's husband was Oliver Cunningham, it is possible that Richie had a relative named Oliver Cunningham. Unfortunately I have been unsuccessful in finding out any other information on Oliver.

Richard married Brigid (Brigie) DORE, daughter of John DORE and Honora (Nora) LYNDON, on 27 Feb 1892 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. Brigid was born about 17 Dec 1857 in Moyvane South (Shronagraga), Co. Kerry. She was christened on 19 Dec 1857 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died in 1916.

They had the following children.

+ 118 F i Mary (Molly) CUNNINGHAM was born on 10 Mar 1893. She died on 22 Jul 1976.
+ 119 M ii Bryan (Brianeen) CUNNINGHAM was born on 10 Sep 1894. He died on 21 Dec 1966.
  120 F iii
Johanna (Sr. Mary Ellen) CUNNINGHAM was born on 25 Nov 1895 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She was christened on 27 Nov 1895 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died on 13 Aug 1989 in Concordia, Kansas.

Johanna's baptismal sponsors were Michael Stack and Mary Dore.

Johanna was also known as Hannie. She and her sister Maggie left Ireland in 1915 to join the Sisters of St. Joseph at Nazareth Motherhouse in Concordia, Kansas.

Ellis Island records (on www.ellisisland.org) show that the sisters arrived in New York on 12 September 1915 and were joining a 'cousin', Bishop John Francis Cunningham, of Concordia, Kansas. It is not known how exactly they were related to the bishop, who encouraged several other Cunningham relatives - and Mulvihill relatives too - to enter religious life in Kansas. Bishop Cunningham also had relative named Michael Moran (1899-1983) who was a monsignor in the Salina diocese of Kansas. Michael was born in Shronowen, Listowel, Co. Kerry to Michael Moran of Lisselton, Co. Kerry and Hanora Fitzgerald of Listowel. Presumably Michael was related to the bishop though the Fitzgeralds as the bishop's mother was a Catherine Fitzgerald.

Sr. Mary Ellen was a nursing sister and worked in El Paso, Texas for a time before returning to Kansas to work in St. Anthony's Hospital in Concordia.
+ 121 F iv Hanora (Nora) CUNNINGHAM was born on 6 Dec 1896. She died on 19 Feb 1988.
  122 M v
Thomas CUNNINGHAM was born in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was christened on 18 Apr 1898 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

I have been given a baptismal date of 18 April 1898 by a family source for Thomas, which is the same baptismal date I was given for his sisters Margaret and Ellen whom we know to have been been twins. However, Thomas's name is not listed in the birth register with Margaret and Ellen.

It appears Thomas may have died very young as we have no account of his life beyond his baptism.
  123 F vi
Margaret (Sr. Mary Estelle) CUNNINGHAM was born on 17 Apr 1898 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She was christened on 18 Apr 1898 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died on 3 Oct 1987 in Concordia, Kansas.

Margaret and Ellen were twins. Margaret's baptismal sponsors were not recorded on the parish register.

Margaret was also known as Maggie. She and her sister, Hannie, left Ireland in 1915 to join the Sisters of St. Joseph at Nazareth Motherhouse in Concordia, Kansas.

Sr. Mary Estelle, who was a nursing sister, worked for more than 30 years in St. Joseph's Hospital in Belvidere, Illinois. In 1973, due to frail health, she returned to Concordia where she continued to help with nursing duties.
  124 F vii
Ellen CUNNINGHAM was born on 17 Apr 1898 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died on 17 Apr 1898 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Ellen, a twin, died shortly after birth.
  125 F viii
Eileen CUNNINGHAM was born on 13 Aug 1899 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died on 19 Jan 1988 in Askeaton, Co. Limerick. She was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Eileen is listed (as Ellie) in the 1911 census return for the household of her aunt Manie Dore in Moyvane South. In 1928 Eileen emigrated to the United States and lived in New York for many years. She never married and retired to Listowel where she lived with her sister Bridie.

+ 126 M ix John (Jack) CUNNINGHAM was born on 1 Jul 1901. He died on 7 Nov 1995.
  127 F x
Bridget (Bridie) CUNNINGHAM was born on 7 Apr 1904 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She was christened on 9 Apr 1904 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died on 24 Nov 1982 in Listowel, Co. Kerry. She was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Bridie's baptismal sponsors were Jeremiah Kennelly and Elizabeth Kennelly.

Bridie was a nurse in London and later in Listowel District Hospital. In Listowel she spent many years working on night duty - she would do three months of 12-hour shifts, getting only a one or two day break before the next three-month cycle would start. Bridie lived on Court House Road in Listowel.

24. Johanna CUNNINGHAM (Bryan , Myles , 'unknown' ) was born about 17 Jun 1854 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She was christened on 19 Jun 1854 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died on 12 Dec 1927 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She was buried in Old Cemetery, Knockanure, Co. Kerry.

The sponsor at Johanna's baptism was Edmund Hudson.

It appears that Johanna was only 16 years of age when she married William, who was probably about 35 years old at the time of their marriage. Her last child, Michael, was born when Johanna was only 25 years of age.

Johanna married William O'CONNOR, son of Patrick O'CONNOR / CONNORS and Mary DALTON (caution: not verified), on 12 Feb 1871 in Newtownsandes (Moyvane). William was born in probably Oct 1835 in probably Dirreen Lower, Athea, Co. Limerick. He was christened in probably 19 Oct 1835 in probably Athea, Co. Limerick. He died in Apr 1920 in probably Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was buried in Old Cemetery, Knockanure, Co. Kerry.

Sponsors at William's baptism were Daniel Mullane and Johanna Casey.

William farmed in Kilbaha North.

In the 1901 census there is a return for the household of Kate O'Connor, also of Kilbaha North. She is the only one listed for the household, and her occupation is "agricultural labourer". The writing on the census is too faint to make out her age. She is not listed in the Kilbaha returns in 1911. If she was unrelated to our O'Connor family perhaps she was connected to Patrick O'Connor who moved to Kilbaha from Shronebeirne, Duagh in the mid-19th century (see notes for Patrick O'Connor, father of William above).

Marriage Notes:

Witnesses were Michael Hanrahan and Daniel Connell.

Johanna and William had the following children.

  128 M i
Patrick (Paddy Otter) O'CONNOR was born on 20 Nov 1871 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was christened on 23 Nov 1871 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died on 9 Nov 1963 in Beenbrack, Lisaniskea, Knockanure, Co. Kerry. He was buried in Old Cemetery, Knockanure, Co. Kerry.

Sponsors at Paddy's baptism were Edmund Cunningham and Honoria Cunningham.

Paddy was known as "Otter" and "Paddy Otter" because he had a passion for fishing. He lived to be 91 and was still cycling until shortly before his death.

It is surprising Paddy did not inherit the family farm given that he was the eldest son. It was Paddy's next surviving brother, Jack, who got the farm. Jack married just three days before Paddy in March 1916, by which time Paddy was farming in Lisaniskea, Knockanure, Co. Kerry.

Patrick married Johanna (Hannah) AHERN, daughter of Michael AHERN, on 7 Mar 1916 in Newtownsandes, Co. Kerry. Johanna was born about 1882 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died in probably Beenbrack, Lisaniskea, Knockanure, Co. Kerry. She was buried in Old Cemetery, Knockanure, Co. Kerry.

Hannah was from Leitrim Middle in Moyvane. She and her husband, Paddy, lived in Beenbrack in Lisaniskea, Knockanure. They had no children. The farm passed to a relative of Hannah's (perhaps a niece?) named Margaret Ahern who was married to a Joe Collins.
  129 M ii
Bryan O'CONNOR was born on 5 Dec 1872 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was christened on 7 Dec 1872 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died on 19 Jul 1889 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Bryan's baptismal sponsors were Richard Cunningham and Margaret Cunningham.

Bryan died at the age of 16 from "pulmonary consumption" from which he had been suffering for a year.
+ 130 F iii Mary Anne (Mainanne) O'CONNOR was born on 6 Apr 1874. She died on 11 Sep 1951.
+ 131 M iv John (Jack Bill) O'CONNOR was born on 25 May 1876. He died on 8 Nov 1959.
+ 132 M v Edmond (Eddie, Ned) O'CONNOR was born on 24 May 1877. He died on 25 Mar 1960.
  133 M vi
Michael O'CONNOR was born on 2 Jun 1880 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was christened on 5 Jun 1880 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died on 3 Mar 1912 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was buried in Old Cemetery, Knockanure, Co. Kerry.

According to Michael's death certificate, he was aged 24 when he died in 1912, which would mean he was born in 1887 or 1888 rather than 1880. His headstone gives his age at death as 27, which would mean he was born in 1884 or 1885. Michael's baptismal record, showing his year of birth to be 1880, is the most dependable indication of date of birth (even moreso than birth certificates as births were often registered many months after the event whereas baptisms in Ireland at that time typically took place a day or two after the birth).

Michael died at the age of 31. I had been told by a family source that he died of a perforated appendix. However, according to his death certificate, he died of pneumonia.

26. Edward CUNNINGHAM (Bryan , Myles , 'unknown' ) was born about 15 Nov 1856 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was christened on 17 Nov 1856 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died on 11 Jan 1924 in Chicago.

Sponsors at Edward's baptism were Richard Hudson and Ellen Relihan.

Edward was educated at St. Michael's College in Listowel. He emigrated to the United States around 1879 and settled in Chicago where he worked as a clerk in a railway company.

Edward married Ida GUTJAHR, daughter of Martin GUTJAHR and Anna Wilhelmina WEINHOLD, about 1888 in U.S.. Ida was born in May 1865 in Germany. She died in probably between 1930 and 1940 in probably Chicago.

Ida emigrated from Germany in 1900.

They had the following children.

  134 M i
Earnest CUNNINGHAM was born in Feb 1890 in Chicago.
  135 F ii
Ella CUNNINGHAM was born in Jan 1893 in Chicago. She died in 1982 in Chicago.
+ 136 M iii Bernard C. CUNNINGHAM was born about 1903. He died in possibly June 1974.

27. Margaret CUNNINGHAM (Bryan , Myles , 'unknown' ) was born about 1 Oct 1858 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She was christened on 3 Oct 1858 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died in 1918 in probably Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Sponsors at Margaret's baptism were William Hudson and Mary Hudson.

Margaret married John HANRAHAN, son of Patrick (Paddy) HANRAHAN and Margaret 'UNKNOWN', on 22 Feb 1887 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. John was born about 1852 in Kilbaha, Newtownsandes (Moyvane), Co. Kerry. He died in 1918 in probably Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

John's father, Paddy, was probably a brother of Michael Hanrahan who married Margaret's aunt, also named Margaret Cunningham.

Witnesses to the marriage of Margaret and John were Myles Kearney and Kate Hanrahan. After their marriage, Margaret and John lived near the Scraghan River in the Gale Valley, just below Kilbaha. They later moved to Kilbaha.

According to the 1911 census Margaret and John had 12 children born alive, but only eight were alive in 1911 (all the children listed in the 1901 census were alive in 1911).

John and Margaret died within a week of each other in the flu epidemic of 1918.

Marriage Notes:

Witnesses were Myles Kearney and Catherine Hanrahan.

Margaret and John had the following children.

+ 137 F i Mary (Mollie) HANRAHAN was born on 30 Dec 1888. She died on 19 Jan 1946.
+ 138 F ii Margaret (Gretta) HANRAHAN was born on 20 Dec 1889. She died before 11 Jun 1967.
+ 139 F iii Johanna (Hannie) HANRAHAN was born on 11 Mar 1891. She died on 7 Feb 1981.
+ 140 M iv Michael (Mick) J. HANRAHAN was born on 19 Apr 1892. He died on 11 Jun 1967.
  141 M v
Bryan HANRAHAN was born in 1893 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

A Bryan Hanrahan was a witness to the marriage of Michael Hanrahan and Bridget Shanahan on 21 February 1928. Byan above had a brother Michael who married Bridget Shanahan so we can asssume that the Bryan who witnessed the marriage was Bryan above. Unfortunately we have no further information on Bryan.

Bryan married Mary MCCOY. Mary was born in Coole West, Athea, Co. Limerick.
  142 M vi
Timothy (Fr. Tim) HANRAHAN was born on 11 Jan 1895 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was christened on 12 Jan 1895 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died on 16 Oct 1935 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He was buried in Bonneauville, Pennsylvania.

Tim's baptismal sponsors were Daniel Barrett and Ellen Hanrahan.

Tim studied for the priesthood at St Patrick's College, Carlow and was sent to the United States in 1918 where he served in Pennsylvania. He ministered initially at St. Francis's Church, Harrisburg before moving to St. Ignatius's Church in Centralia, then to St. Joseph's in Locust Gap, Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Mount Carmel, and St. Patrick's Church in York. He subsequently spent eight years as chaplain at Mont Alto and had been pastor at St. Joseph's Church, Bonneauville for four years when he was killed in a car accident aged only 41. Tim was in a car with three other priests on their way to the consecration in Philadelphia of Fr. L. Leech as bishop of Harrisburg. Their car was overtaking another vehicle when it crashed into a telegraph pole.

+ 143 F vii Catherine (Kitty) HANRAHAN was born on 30 Nov 1897. She died on 19 May 1949.
  144 M viii
John HANRAHAN was born on 31 Mar 1902 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was christened on 2 Apr 1902 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died before 1912.

John's baptismal sponsor was Honora Connor.
  145 F ix
Ellen (Nellie) HANRAHAN was born on 20 Nov 1903 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She was christened on 22 Nov 1903 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died in Dec 1957 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Nellie's baptismal sponsors were Daniel Shine and Ellen Shine.

Nellie emigrated to the United States in 1921, joining her brother Tim in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Ellis Island records show that she arrived in New York on 8 November 1921, and that her occupation was a teacher.

At some point, Nellie was informally adopted by a family in the U.S. by the name of Dunne and went by the name of Nellie Hanrahan Dunne.

28. Mary KEARNEY (Ellen CUNNINGHAM , Myles , 'unknown' ) was born about 1850 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died after Apr 1917.

Mary married John O'CARROLL, son of Maurice O'CARROLL, on 20 Feb 1868 in Newtownsandes (Moyvane), Co. Kerry. John was born about 1840 in possibly Clounamon, Asdee, Co. Kerry. He died in between 31 Mar 1901 and 2 Apr 1911 in probably Gurtard, Ballylongford, Co. Kerry.

John and Mary lived in Gurtard (sometimes spelled Gortard), Ballylongford, Co. Kerry.

Marriage Notes:

The marriage was witnessed by James Harrington of Kilbaha, Newtownsandes, Co. Kerry.

Mary and John had the following children.

  146 M i
Maurice O'CARROLL was born on 12 Oct 1871 in Gurtard, Ballylongford, Co. Kerry. He was christened on 14 Oct 1871 in Ballylongford, Co. Kerry.

Baptismal sponsors were Patrick Carroll and Catherine Carroll.

Maurice was a shopkeeper in Listowel, Co. Kerry.

Baptismal sponsors were Patrick Kearney and Johanna Kearney.
  153 M viii
Michael O'CARROLL was born about 1887 in Gurtard, Ballylongford, Co. Kerry.

29. Patrick KEARNEY (Ellen CUNNINGHAM , Myles , 'unknown' ) was born about 31 Jan 1851 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was christened on 2 Feb 1851 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died in Apr or May 1917.

Patrick's baptismal sponsors were Brian Cunningham and Honora Doody.

In the 1911 census, Patrick and his wife, Maggie, are listed with six of their children: Mary, John, Johanna, Myles, Bridget and Laurence. According to their census return Patrick and Maggie had 16 children born alive, 13 of whom were alive in 1911.

Patrick married Margaret (Maggie) BUCKLEY, daughter of John BUCKLEY, on 7 Feb 1880 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. Margaret was born about 1858 in probably Gortdromagowna, Knockanure, Co. Kerry. She died on 16 Oct 1942 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She was buried in Murhur Cemetery, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Marriage Notes:

Witnesses were John Carroll and Thomas Barrett.

Patrick and Margaret had the following children.

  154 F i
Ellen (Ellie) KEARNEY was born about 1880 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

It is possible that Ellie emigrated to the United States as an Ellen Kearney from Newtownsandes arrived at Ellis Island in June 1903. She was 23 years old, which ties in with the age our Ellie would have been at the time. Furthermore, a World War I draft registration record from 1918 for a Myles Kearney, Irish-born and living in Jersey City, gives the name of a sister named Ellie Kearney of Jersey City as Myles's nearest relative. This ties in with the fact that our Ellie had a brother named Myles who emigrated to the United States in 1915. However, we have no evidence that our Myles ever lived in Jersey City. All we know is that he married in Michigan in 1921 and lived in Michigan for the rest of his life.
+ 155 F ii Mary KEARNEY was born about 1881.
  156 F iii
Catherine (Katie) KEARNEY was born about 1883 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.
  157 M iv
Daniel (Danny) KEARNEY was born about 30 Sep 1883 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He was christened on 2 Oct 1883 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Danny's baptismal sponsors were Michael Kearney and Ellen Buckley.

A Daniel Kearney of Kilbaha, who was married to a Hannah O'Carroll from Ballylongford, Co. Kerry (Hannah died 23 August 1951 in Kilbaha), had four children: Patrick, Daniel, Eileen (who married a Michael Culhane of Ballyguiltenane, Glin, Co. Limerick and had a family), and Maurice (known as Moss) who is believed to have been born around 1930. Could this Daniel have been our Daniel above?
  158 F v
Honora (Nora) KEARNEY was born on 29 May 1887 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She was christened on 2 Jun 1887 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Nora's baptismal sponsors were Laurence Buckley and Mary Buckley.
  159 F vi
Margaret (Maggie) KEARNEY was born on 25 Apr 1889 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She was christened on 26 Apr 1889 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Maggie's baptismal sponsors were Daniel Kearney and Ellen Buckley. Maggie's mother's name appears as Bridget rather than Margaret on the baptismal record on www.irishgenealogy.ie.
  160 vii
'unknown' KEARNEY was born on 13 Apr 1890 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. 'unknown' was christened on 15 Apr 1890 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

'Unknown's baptismal sponsors were Laurence Buckley and Bridget O'Connor.
