Dick was also known as Richie. After leaving school he went to Maynooth college to study for the priesthood. Dick decided not to complete his religious studies and left Maynooth after three years with a BA degree. After spending a couple of years working on the family farm he went to University College Dublin and graduated in 1949 with an Agricultural Science degree. He later became an advisor with the Department of Agriculture in Co. Limerick and later in Tralee, Co. Kerry.

Johanna married William (Billy) CUNNINGHAM, son of Maurice CUNNINGHAM (caution: not verified) and Mary FORAN. William was born Nov 1910 in Newtownsandes (Moyvane) village, Co. Kerry and was christened 1 Dec 1910 in Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died 22 Nov 1985 in Listowel, Co. Kerry and was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery, Gale Bridge, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Billy's baptismal sponsors were William Foran and Honora Shine.

Billy and his wife, Jo, were related. It's thought by a family member that they might have been third cousins, but the exact connection hasn't been established. We do know that Billy's father's name was Maurice and that Maurice's father's name was Bryan (Maurice's children were known as the 'Maurice Bryans'). However it's not known if Maurice was a son of "Little Bryan" (which would make Jo and Billy third cousins once removed), or a son of Bryan Cunningham who married Johanna Hudson (which would make them first cousins once removed). Perhaps the former is more likely.

Billy, who was visually impaired from birth and walked with a limp, was a fine singer. He inherited the Cunningham family home in Moyvane village.

Catherine married Gerald (Garrett) MULVIHILL, son of Edmond (Ned) MULVIHILL and Julia O'SULLIVAN, in 1956. Gerald was born about 1925 in probably Shronowen, Listowel, Co. Kerry. He died 30 Sep 2007 and was buried in St. Michael's Cemetery, Listowel, Co. Kerry.

Garrett ran the Mulvihill family farm in Shronowen.
