Margaret O'Hara was born in 1851 in Cootehall, Co. Roscommon, in the townland of Clegna or Derrygirraun or Cloongreghan, to Laurence O'Hara and Ellen Meehan. She married Owen Morahan of Cloonfeacle, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim in 1875 and they had 10 children, four of whom emigrated to the U.S. Margaret died in Cloonfeacle in 1940 aged about 89.
