Michael Gordon, pictured here with his wife, Katie (née Cunnane), was born about 1886 to Cormac and Ellen Gordon of Aughalustia, Ballaghaderren, Co. Roscommon. He was a grandson of Patrick Gordon and Mary French.

Michael and Ballaghaderreen-born Katie married in 1919 and had three children: Bertie, Maeve and Jim.

Michael was a first cousin of Thomas Gordon (see previous photo).
