Elizabeth, who was born  in 1858 in Glooria, Cootehall, Co. Roscommon, emigrated to New Zealand where she met her husband, Joseph Jeffares. Elizabeth died in the earthquake that struck Napier in 1931.  

Elizabeth was a granddaughter of William O'Hara.
