This photo, taken about 1834, shows James Hussey with his granddaughters, sisters (from left) Sheila, Maureen and Una Hussey. The three girls and their youngest sister, Brigie, were the daughters of James's son Stephen.

James was born in Kensington in London in 1865 to Thomas Hussey and Agnes Devine. He was a solicitor and lived most of his adult life in Hammersmith. He died in 1936.
