This picture of Mary (née Layden) and Thomas Morahan was taken on their wedding day in 1918. Mary, who was a school teacher, was a member of the Layden family that owned the coalmining company in Arigna, Co. Roscommon.

Thomas and Mary had three children: Kevin, Vera and Bernadette.
