Eugene Morahan, son of Owen and Margaret Morahan, emigrated to the U.S in 1909 aged 23. He lived for a short time in Butte, Montana prior to settling in San Francisco where he married Margaret Claffey from Athlone, Co. Westmeath. Eugene worked as a labourer in San Francisco and died in 1935 aged only 50, probably as a result of an accident at work.
