Patrick Morahan was a son of Owen and Margaret Morahan. He emigrated to the United States in 1911 and settled in Houston, Texas where he worked as a salesman for a stationery company. In 1947, at the age of 59, he married Oklahoma-born Opal Collier.

Patrick died in Houston in 1965.
