Richard (also known as Dick and Richie) O'Connor was born in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry to Jack Bill O'Connor and Babe Shanahan (see earlier photo). This picture was taken in the mid-1940s following Dick's graduation from UCD with a B.Agr.Sc. degree. He went on to become an agricultural advisor, initially working in Co. Limerick and later in Tralee, Co. Kerry. Dick married Sheila Treacy and they had three children. He died in Tralee in 1985 aged 66.
