We have traced our O’Sullivan family back to James (known as Séamus) and Michael Sullivan (our family used the Sullivan rather than the O’Sullivan name until the early 20th century) who were probably brothers and who were probably born in the 1810s or 1820s in Caheraveelane, Kilshannig, Co. Cork. Séamus settled in Glynn, Mourneabbey, Co. Cork and all we know of Michael is that he had a son named Michael who lived in Charleville, Co. Cork prior to moving to Cork city. Descendants of Séamus and Michael are pictured below.
