Donegal	Morrison	Straid, Clonmany	Catherine Morrison’s daughter, Mamie Lynch, married Lizzie Gordon’s son, Tom McDonnell, about 1930. Tom was my husband’s first cousin once removed.

Kerry	Dore	Moyvane South, Moyvane (Newtownsandes)	Brigie Dore married my great-granduncle Richie Cunningham in 1892
Kerry	Stack	Gortdromasillihy, Moyvane (Newtownsandes)	Tom Stack married my great-grandaunt Ellie Shanahan in 1884

John McDonnell married my husband’s grandaunt Lizzie Gordon in 1892.

This family came from either the same townland as our Gordon family, or from one very close by; and as with our own Gordons, the name Cormac was traditional.

Tipperary

Soloheadbeg (from where most of the family emigrated to Newfoundland)

It’s possible Edmond Carew (born 1820) from this family was my great-great-grandfather, Edmond Carew, who was also born about 1820 in Soloheadbeg.
