Paddy Stack was born in 1899 in Ballygoughlin, Glin, Co. Limerick. He was the the youngest of the 10 children of Tom Stack of the Hill, Newtownsandes (now called Moyvane), Co. Kerry and Ellie Shanahan (daughter of Richard Shanahan and Katie Nolan) of Kilbaha, Newtownsandes.

Paddy became a priest and served in the San Francisco area of the United States. He died in California in 1984.

Paddy was a first cousin of Babe Shanahan (see previous photo).
