TREACY Sean lying dead

Sean Treacy lies dead on a Dublin street on 14 October 1920. Sean had been meeting with IRA comrades at the Republican Outfitters shop at 94 Talbot St. when the premises was raided by members of the British forces. Sean was shot and killed in a gunfight as he left the building. He was 25 years of age. A small plaque above the door of the shop now marks the spot. Sean is remembered each year on the anniversary of his death at a commemoration ceremony in Kilfeacle Cemetery, Co. Tipperary where he is buried.
