176. Nora (Nonie) THORNTON "Nonie" (Myles THORNTON , Honora (Norrie) CUNNINGHAM , Johanna ) was born Jul 1903 in prob Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died 18 May 1984.

There's an Ellis Island record for what appears to be Nora Thornton from Newtownsandes who emigrated, aged 21, in September 1924. Could this be our Nora? On the ship manifest her nearest relative in Ireland is given as "Mr. Thornton" of Kilbaha, Newtownsandes. Nora was joining a sister, "Miss M. Thornton" (could this be Mamie?) in New York City. However it's believed our Nonie and her husband lived in Derreen, Athea. Could she have emigrated and returned?
