187. Patrick (Paddy) FINUCANE "Paddy" (Mary Anne (Mainanne) O'CONNOR , Johanna CUNNINGHAM , Bryan CUNNINGHAM , Johanna ) was born 5 Dec 1899 in Clounprohus, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died 10 Apr 1984 in Listowel, Co. Kerry and was buried in Listowel, Co. Kerry.

Paddy was elected to Kerry County Council in 1942, and in 1943 he was elected as T.D for Clann na Talún (the Farmers' Party). At a later stage he was elected to the Dáil as an Independent T.D. He was never defeated at election time, and in 1969 he retired after 26 years in the Dáil. His main achievement as a T.D. was the implementation of the Cashen drainage scheme which proved vital in the prevention of flooding in north Kerry.

Paddy married (1) Lillian (Lily) HANRAHAN "Lily", daughter of John ("The Major") HANRAHAN ""The Major"" and Elizabeth BUCKLEY, in 1920 in Listowel Church, Co. Kerry. Lily was born 25 Apr 1899 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. She died 10 Nov 1943 in Urlee, Lisselton, Co. Kerry and was buried in Listowel, Co. Kerry.

Prior to the marriage of Lily and Paddy, Lily's parents had arranged a marriage between her and someone else. But Lily and Paddy had fallen in love, and they eloped. After their marriage they lived in Kilbaha where their first child was born. The move to Urlee in Lisselton came about because they bought or were given the farm of Lily's uncle, Mike Buckley, and his wife, Maria (née Kissane) who had no children.

Lily and Paddy were second cousins once removed - Paddy's great-grandfather, Bryan Cunningham, and Lily's grandmother, Margaret (Peg) Cunningham, were brother and sister.

Lily was only 44 years of age when she died.

188. William FINUCANE (Mary Anne (Mainanne) O'CONNOR , Johanna CUNNINGHAM , Bryan CUNNINGHAM , Johanna ) was born 28 Dec 1900 in Clounprohus, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died 7 Dec 1974 in Larha, Asdee, Co. Kerry and was buried in Lisloughlan Abbey, Ballylongford, Co. Kerry.

William married Margaret COUGHLAN in 1929 in St. Mary's Church, Asdee, Co. Kerry. Margaret was born Jun 1899 in poss. Asdee, Co. Kerry. She died Aug 1983 in Listowel, Co. Kerry and was buried in Lisloughlan Abbey, Ballylongford, Co. Kerry.

189. Michael FINUCANE (Mary Anne (Mainanne) O'CONNOR , Johanna CUNNINGHAM , Bryan CUNNINGHAM , Johanna ) was born May 1903 in Clounprohus, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died 12 Aug 2005 in Our Lady's Manor, Dalkey, Co. Dublin and was buried in Shanganagh Cemetery, Dublin.

Michael, who lived in Killiney, Co. Dublin, worked in the Department of Customs and Excise. He died at the age of 102.

192. John (Jack) FINUCANE (Mary Anne (Mainanne) O'CONNOR , Johanna CUNNINGHAM , Bryan CUNNINGHAM , Johanna ) was born Dec 1907 in Clounprohus, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died 12 Jan 1975 in Clounprohus, Moyvane, Co. Kerry and was buried in Listowel, Co. Kerry.

Jack ran the family farm in Clounprohus.

John married Peggy LEAHY, daughter of Michael LEAHY and Mary 'UNKNOWN', in Apr 1948 in Listowel Church, Co. Kerry. Peggy died 2004.

196. William (Willie) O'CONNOR (John (Jack Bill) O'CONNOR , Johanna CUNNINGHAM , Bryan CUNNINGHAM , Johanna ) was born 1917 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died 23 Jul 1966 and was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery, Gale Bridge, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Willie ran the family farm in Kilbaha, Moyvane.

198. Richard (Dick) O'CONNOR (John (Jack Bill) O'CONNOR , Johanna CUNNINGHAM , Bryan CUNNINGHAM , Johanna ) was born 23 May 1919 in Kilbaha, Moyvane, Co. Kerry. He died 9 Aug 1985 in Tralee, Co. Kerry and was buried 12 Aug 1985 in New Rath Cemetery, Tralee, Co. Kerry.

Dick was also known as Richie. After leaving school he went to Maynooth college to study for the priesthood. Dick decided not to complete his religious studies and left Maynooth after three years with a BA degree. After spending a couple of years working on the family farm he went to University College Dublin and graduated in 1949 with an Agricultural Science degree. He later became an advisor with the Department of Agriculture in Co. Limerick and later in Tralee, Co. Kerry.

202. Johanna (Jo) O'CONNOR "Jo" (Edmond (Eddie or Ned) O'CONNOR , Johanna CUNNINGHAM , Bryan CUNNINGHAM , Johanna ) was born 9 Apr 1913 in Sallowglen, Tarbert, Co. Kerry. She died 9 Jan 1986 and was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery, Gale Bridge, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Jo married William (Billy) CUNNINGHAM, son of Maurice CUNNINGHAM (Caution: relationship to Little Bryan not verified) and Mary FORAN. William was born 1 Oct 1910. He died 22 Nov 1985 in Listowel, Co. Kerry and was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery, Gale Bridge, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Jo and Billy were related. It's thought by a family member that they might have been third cousins, but the exact connection hasn't been established. We do know that Billy's father's name was Maurice and that Maurice's father's name was Bryan (Maurice's children were known as the "Maurice Bryans"). However it's not known if Maurice was a son of "Little Bryan" (which would make Jo and Billy third cousins once removed), or a son of Bryan Cunningham who married Johanna Hudson (which would make them first cousins once removed). Perhaps the former is more likely.

Billy inherited the family home in Moyvane village. He was a fine singer.

205. Nora O'CONNOR (Edmond (Eddie or Ned) O'CONNOR , Johanna CUNNINGHAM , Bryan CUNNINGHAM , Johanna ) was born 17 Nov 1917 in Sallowglen, Tarbert, Co. Kerry. She died 25 Apr 1993 in Tralee, Co. Kerry and was buried in Ahavoher Cemetery, Gale Bridge, Moyvane, Co. Kerry.

Nora married Frank HANRAHAN. Frank died before 25 Apr 1993.

Nora and Frank lived in either Shrone or Lenamore, Ballylongford.

206. Denis O'CONNOR (Edmond (Eddie or Ned) O'CONNOR , Johanna CUNNINGHAM , Bryan CUNNINGHAM , Johanna ) was born 17 Nov 1917 in Sallowglen, Tarbert, Co. Kerry. He died 29 Dec 1989.

Denis married May MULVIHILL. May was born 1917. She died 5 Feb 1992.

213. Mai STACK (Mary (Molly) CUNNINGHAM , Richard (Richie) CUNNINGHAM , Bryan CUNNINGHAM , Johanna ) was born 15 May 1923 in Moyvane South (Shronagraga), Co. Kerry. She died 14 Jan 2007.

Mai ran St. Anthony's Nursing Home in Tralee.

Mai married Denis MCCARTHY on 24 Jun 1955. Denis was born in Castleisland, Co. Kerry. He died 5 Jan 1994.

Mai and Denis lived in Oakview, Tralee, Co. Kerry.
