Unfortunately, we know little about the family of Joe's 3rd great-grandmother Mary Murphy. Mary was born around 1790 in Knocklonogad, Garryhill, Co. Carlow and was married to another Murphy, William J. (they do not appear to have been related). They and their family lived in Knocklonogad.
