Hello and welcome to my genealogy website. My name is Helen O'Connor, I’m Irish-born, currently living in the UK, and since 2002 I’ve been researching my family history along with that of my husband, Joe Gordon. The information on this site is what I've come up with so far, with much help from others.
The families directly related ancestrally to me or Joe are all from Ireland, with roots in nine counties: Carlow, Cork, Dublin, Kerry, Leitrim, Limerick, Roscommon, Sligo and Tipperary. Unfortunately, little information is available on some families, although I continue to make progress on most, thanks now mainly to information I receive from visitors to this site.
You’ll find a chart of our own family tree by clicking on Our Family Tree on the panel on the left. For a detailed narrative account of each family in our tree, click on one of the surnames below or on Descendant Reports to the left; and for a basic list of descendants from each family, click on Descendant Lists to the left. This website also holds information on a large number of families connected to ours by marriage, details of several of which are available by clicking on Connected Families on the panel on the left. And click on All Families on the left for indexes to the approximately 1,200 surnames and 9,500 individuals in all our family trees, including a large number of names not listed in other sections of this website.
Please note that in order to preserve the privacy of living persons in my family trees, only their names will be displayed on this website, i.e., no other biographical information, such as dates of birth, will be shown for the living. However, if you come across any information on this site relating to you or your immediate family that you are not happy to have displayed, please accept my apologies and contact me at Helen@HelensFamilyTrees.com to have the material removed in the next republication of the website.
