Hands

While I am by no means certain that I am descended from the Hands family, it appears that my 4th great-grandmother was Elizabeth Hands, whose family had connections in Bunagara, Listowel, Co. Kerry. It is likely that Elizabeth married my 4th great-grandfather Richard Hudson in the late 1780s and they had at least four children. The family lived in north Kerry, although one of their children, Mary, was baptised in Newport, Co. Tipperary (1797), so it is possible the family lived in Tipperary for a time.
