Helen's Family Trees           Last updated: 25 January 2023

Hello and welcome to my redesigned genealogy website. As with the original, this site contains information on my own blood family and that of my husband, Joe Gordon, along with family histories of many other families connected to ours by marriage. Most of our ancestral families are Irish (with roots in counties Roscommon, Leitrim, Kerry, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, Carlow and Dublin), with a Scottish and English family in the mix as well.

Enjoy browsing!

Two ways to search

1. If you want to search my entire database, and navigate through a Name Index (listing everyone in Helen's Family Trees) or a Pedigree Chart (diagram showing our family only), then click on Search Database in the menu above.

2. If you want to research a specific family, and see reports and photographs for that family (currently only our own ancestral families), then click on Families in the menu above. Current only our own ancestral families are available using this option, but later in the year I plan to add other families about which I have gathered a good deal of information.

Note that, for privacy reasons, no information on living people will be shown on this website.

Using this information

Do feel free to take information from this website for your own personal, non-commercial use. However, I would ask that you please credit if you publish any of this information - or any photographs - on another website (Ancestry, for example) or in any other publication.

Thank you, and please help!

A huge thank you to all those who have helped me build Helen's Family Trees over the past 20 years. My database now contains over 23,000 names and I look forward very much to hearing from anyone who can help me develop it further. If you can add anything at all to my trees (such as names, dates, stories and photos), I would love to hear from you. Corrections would be very welcome too. To get in touch, please email (note new email address) or click on Contact in the above menu.

Both Joe and I have done an Ancestry DNA test, and for those of you who have done the same test and have been matched with one of us, another way to help would be to put a simple family tree on Ancestry and make it public. Having access to even a basic tree can make it much easier to figure out how we might be related to each other.
