Doody

We can trace our Doody family back to my probable 3rd great-grandfather James Doody, born in the late 17th century, possibly in Co. Limerick. He married Catherine O’Connor and they had at least five children, one of whom, Michael (my great-great-grandfather), was born around 1820, possibly in Knocklong, Co. Limerick. Michael settled in the townland of Ardnamoher, Galbally, Co. Limerick were he and his wife, Johanna (née Quirke), raised 12 children.
