O'Connor

We can trace our O’Connor family back to two brothers (although it is a possibility they were first cousins rather than brothers), one of whom had at least one son, Patrick (my great-great-grandfather) and possibly another son named Jeremiah. The other brother had at least one son, Maurice. My ancestor Patrick (born around 1800) farmed in Dirreen, Athea, Co. Limerick, and Jeremiah (born around 1793) in Seconglass, Mountcollins, Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick. Their probable cousin Maurice (born around 1825) farmed in Caherlevoy, Mountcollins. Patrick and his wife, believed to have been Mary Dalton of Athea, moved at some point from Derreen to Kilbaha in the nearby parish of Newtownsandes (now named Moyvane), Co. Kerry. If you have a photo or photos you would like to share (or a better quality version of one I have), I would be delighted to hear from you. Please email any pictures to HelensFamilyTrees@gmail.com. Many thanks in advance.
