O’Dower/Dore

We have traced our O’Dower/Dore family back to my 5th great-grandfather Robert O Doghair, born around 1705 in west Co. Limerick. Descendants of Robert’s settled in Gortnagloss, Templeglantine, Co. Limerick, where members of the family still live, with a number of descendants of this Gortnaglass family going on to settle in Newtownsandes (now known as Moyvane), Co.
